Dad stayed on at Los Alamos after Tinian, left the Army and went on the Univeristy of California payroll to prepare for the upcoming A-bomb tests near Bikini Atoll in the South Pacific. A member of the Firing Team, dad was again the expert on the X-Unit and assisted in the setup of the multitude of electronic devices that would monitor the Abel and Baker tests.
