Dad’s Army service began in 1943. I’m still piecing together information about the time prior to Los Alamos, and have decided to add a new page to the website. Here you will find early Army assignments (including coursework in electronics at the University of West Virginia through the Army Specialized Training Program), letters, and pictures, leading up to his assignment to Oak Ridge, Tennessee and his ultimate transfer to Los Alamos, New Mexico.
